The Real Futures Foundation, would like to invite you to attend a special event to celebrate our successes and showcase the work of our program participants and the difference we can make as a community by providing equity and support to youth in their transition from education to employment.

Your Real Futures Foundation Update

The Real Futures Foundation, a registered charity, has been working hard to deliver on a range of initiatives for the at risk youth of Port Stephens. We are currently engaged in delivering programs for at risk youth at Tomaree High School, St Philip's Christian College, Hunter River High School, and Irrawang High School.

What we are doing...

Workskil is working at changing the opportunities available to some of our disengaged students.

Hunter River High School is embarking on a three day program in November to empower students in their career aspirations. This program aims to offer a:

  • Holistic approach to supporting students make better choices
  • Deliver strategies for prevention of mental health disorders, stress management, etc. education healthy lifestyles, mock interviews
  • provide skills around planning, goal setting, job ready skills, resume writing, employment pathways, communication skills, personal hygiene & grooming
  • Prevention program for young people in response to issues such as health, police, domestic violence and education.


A unique program developed through a partnership between The Real Futures Foundation, State Training Services, and Tomaree Community College - the program has extensive support from Tomaree High School and focuses on developing skills and work place competencies for at risk youth. Students are now conducting work placements as well as furthering their studies.
